Depicts 240,000 plastic bags, equal to the estimated number of plastic bags consumed around the world every ten seconds.

Depicts 50,000 cigarette lighters, equal to the estimated number of pieces of floating plastic in every square mile in the world's oceans.

Depicts 2.4 million pieces of plastic, equal to the estimated number of pounds of plastic pollution that enter the world's oceans every hour. All of the plastic in this image was collected from the Pacific Ocean.

Depicts 92,500 agricultural plant seeds, equal to one hundredth of one percent of the number of people in the world today who suffer from malnutrition. To illustrate the entire statistic with 925 million seeds would require ten thousand prints of this image, covering more than eight football fields.

Surrealism

Surrealism attempts to express an individual's subconscious and is characterized by unrealistic situations and often uses several elements listed below:

Levitation- When something Floats that should not be in the air

Transformation- Having something change into something else

Dislocation- Taking something out of its natural element

Scale- changing the 'normal' size of the subject

Transparency- Making something see through that isn't normally see through

Poison Ivy

Burned and dodged the texture layer as well as the leaf layer. I also posterized these layers.
I colorized and resized the lips ( made them bigger). I had to blur and smudge around to make the edges  seam together.
I added a green hue to Cara and the gradient layer.
My custom tool was the leafs- I made them red. They are on "Layer 2".
The leaf layer is in black and white to make them more visible.

She is the goddess of wisdom and strategy. She was born from Zeus' head. she is the patron of athens and founded the parthenon.
